10.Megazone 23

This anime drips with 80s cliches and cheese, has a less than stellar dub and dogey animation in areas but I have always held it close to my heart as besides me being a sucker for 80s cheese it has a killer soundtrack and interesting sc-fi thriller plot (spoilers) about earth actually being on a spaceship and japan being the only country left which the citzens are unware of as when they go on holiday they are knocked unconcious and are made to dream about visting the place they went to which now typing this out makes me think I might be going insane but I swear this is what I remember although it has been a while since I watched this, anyways this is all in the first movie and there are 3! can you believe it so I suggest watching if you enjoy a bit of 80s cheese and sc-fi's with bizarre existential plots. Also gotta mention some killer fashion choices are made espically with the first protagonists yellow shirt and sleeveless leather biker jacket combo can defintely remember trying to replicate some of the outfits after I first watched this.
